Safe Trenching Excavations
Trenching and excavation work exposes workers to dangerous hazards. When done safely, trenching operations can reduce worker exposure to cave-ins, falling loads, hazardous atmospheres and hazards from mobile equipment. The purpose of this guide is to assist in making safety determinations and in complying with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 CFR Part 1926 Subpart P standards.
